Analiza refleksije Rumijevih kodova i imaginarnih slika u filmu Velika riba (Big Fish) pomoću teorije intertekstualnosti

Ovaj rad analizira kako film kao vizualni i auditivni tekst posuđuje kodove iz književnih tekstova. Narativi filma, kao i svaki drugi tekst, uvijek se temelje na prethodnim narativima. Nijedan novi narativ ne može se stvoriti na velikom platnu bez korištenja prethodnih narativa.

Prema autoru, mistične i mitološke misli i ideje Istoka, posebno simboli i koncepti koji se nalaze u pjesmama Diwani Šemsa i Rumijevoj Mesneviji, razmatrane su u pretekstu filma Big Fish, a prije njega u romana Big Fish Daniela Valancea, na kojem se temelji Burtonov film.

Analysis of Reflection of Rumi’s Codes and Imaginary Pictures in Big Fish Movie through Theory of Intertextuality

Abstract

This paper analyses the manner in which movie, as an audio-visual text, borrows codes from literature. Narratives from movies, as well as any other text, are always based on previous narratives. No new narrative can be created on a screen without using previous narratives.

According to the author, mystic and mythological thoughts and ideas of East, especially symbols and concepts that can be found in poems Diwani Shems and Mathnawi by Rumi, are being considered in pretext of Big Fish movie, and before that in the Big Fish novel by Daniel Wallace on which Burton based his movie.
