U ovom radu bavimo se odnosom, odnosno sukobom Tradicije i modernizma u djelima Seyyeda Hosseina Nasra. Spomenuto nesuglasje bit će prikazano kroz Nasrove kritike modernizma s tradicionalne tačke gledišta, uz osvrt na ono što Nasr podrazumijeva pod tradicionalnim islamom, koji je neodvojiv od konteksta ovog diskursa. Prvo navodimo značenje Tradicije i modernizma, a onda odgovor, odnosno reakciju islama i muslimana na njegov juriš. U tom pogledu neozaobilazan je govor o moderniziranim muslimanima. Potom se govori o modernoj zapadnoj nauci i sekularizmu te obavezi religijskih mislilaca spram toga. U posljednjem dijelu ovoga rada analiziramo ono što se naziva tradicionalnim islamom. Na kraju navodimo savjete Seyyeda Hosseina Nasra koje je uputio bosanskim muslimanima.

Disagreement between Tradition and Modernism in Nasr’s opinion

Abstract
The paper discusses the relationship, i.e., the conflict between Tradition and modernism in Nasr’s works. The disagreement in question will be presented through Nasr’s critiques of modernism from the traditional point of view, reflecting in the end on what Nasr means by traditional Islam which is inseparable in the context of this discourse. First, we present the meaning of Tradition and modernism, and then the response of Islam to the attack of modernism, i.e., the Muslim reaction. With that regard, it is inevitable to talk about modernized Muslims. Then we discuss the modern Western science and secularism and the obligation of religious thinkers. In the last part we address what is called traditional Islam. At the very end, we cite Nasr’s advices to Bosnian Muslims.
