Ahmed Gurbi-baba je jedan od naših najznačajnijih pjesnika iz osmanskog perioda. Iza sebe je ostavio tri djela, od kojih je jedno tek skoro otkriveno, a u pitanju je njegova zbirka munadžata naslovljena Risâle-i Münâcât. Ovo se djelo sastoji od jedanaest dužih pjesama u kojima se autor obraća Bogu tražeći od Njega da mu podari ostvarenje na duhovnom putu i dolazak do Njegove blizine, na taj način izražavajući osnovna stremljenja i nazore duhovnog putnika na sufijskom putu. Također treba spomenuti i to da je Risâle-i Münâcât jedino zasebno djelo posvećeno obliku munadžata u historiji bošnjačke književnosti.

Summary
Ahmed Gurbi-baba is one of our most important poets from the Ottoman period. He left behind three works, one of which has only recently been discovered, and it is his collection of monajat entitled Risâle-i Münâcât. This work consists of eleven longer poems in which the author addresses God, asking Him to grant him fulfillment on the spiritual path and coming to His closeness, thus expressing the basic aspirations and views of a spiritual traveler on the Sufi path. It should also be mentioned that Risâle-i Münâcât is the only separate work dedicated to the form of monajat in the history of Bosnian literature.
